University of Peradeniya has taken the lead to teaching Aeronautical Engineering going into the ‘ new ‘ world of electronics and Aero engineering.Professor Primal Fernando , the Head of the Electronics Division, said that they requested the Commander of the Ari Force to donate a Aero engine for the Faculty of Engineering in their 75th Anniversary and the 75th year of the University to open up a new vistat of education in Aeronautircal engineering. He sadi that the Commander not only sent a working engine, but also personnel to show the working of the engine and how it could operated, which was a significant approach for the ‘new ‘ area of electronic engineering at the Unviersity of Peradeniya.
Wtih that response, he said that they were ale to introduce the subject of ” Aeronautical engineering into the sylaballai of he University.
The Sri Lanka Air Force sent out the personnel to demonstrate the working of the engine and also to spearhead the Aeronautical department for the future.at the Universtiy.
