By a unanimous decision of the Kandy Municipal Council,the Counil gave permssion it Hawkers to trade on the upper floor of ” George E de Silva Park ” for ten days commincing from Sunday for New Year 2026
Earleir there was a Total Ban for Hawking on the pavements of Kandy. But representations made for ” New Year ” allowed them the grace to trade on the upper floor of Geroge E.de Silva Park- just for ten days.
The Meeting was presided by the Mayor of Kandy on Friday
