From Morris Ratnayake at Polonnaruwa

A tragedy that should not have occurred, is the death of  ten males and a one female totaling eleven persons  and thirtyfive injured in an accident when a private  bus travelling from Polonnaurwa to Kattandkudy, Kalmunai toppled into the river 

The accident is said to have occurred around 7.30 to 8 pm on Sunday when the private bus was carrying passengers from Kadruwelala to Kattandkudy and Kalmunai was crossing a bridge.

The injured are reported to be in a  serious condition who are been treated at Polonnaruwa and  Mampitiya Hospitals

Mampitiya Policed had taken over the investigations
