A bird’s eye view of the ceremonies at the Devale’s of God Natha, Sri Vishnu, Kataragama and Goddess Pahtini at the ‘ Kap Planting ” ceremonies as a prelude to the Kandy Esala Perahera ritual.
Basnayake Nilame of Sri Maha Vishnu Devale Mahendra Ratwatte and the Diyawadana Nilame Proadeep Nilanga Dela assocxiated with the Kap ceremonies, though the main ceremonies were carried out by the Vidana’s ( Service men of the Devale’s ) of the respective Devales.
