The prelude to the Kandy Esala Perahera is Aluthnuwara Dedimunda Devale Perahera and from where the ” kap ‘ for the Kandy Esala Perahera is brought to be planted at the four Devales.
The Aluthnuwara Dedimunda Devale situatued in Mawanella District has commenced its Perahera and ends over the weekend.
The Perahera is conducted by the Bassnayake Nilame Mahen Ratwatta.
The Devale at Aluhnuwara, turning off at Hingula on the Kandy Colombo road.
