The first Kumbal Perahera

The Cynosure of the first Kumbala Perahera was “Indi-Raja” flanked by Myan Raja and “Kamdula ” ( from Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihare ) .

The Photograph shows the Tusker Indi- Raja coming down the steps of the Maha Wahalkada at the precise ausoicious time  of  7.10 pm 
The Diywadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela followed  the Procession wearing white as it was KumbalPrahera.

Thick crowds wer seen from morning as it is considred that the first  Kumbala Peahera brings blessings to children and pregnant mothers.

The Photograhs shows Indi- Raja ( a gift from India to the Sri Dalada Malgawa, which was handed over by controversial High Commissioner Dixit.)
